# AI credits

> How AI credits work and how to manage your balance.

harp uses AI credits to power research, enrichment, email personalization, and ICP scoring. Every plan includes a monthly credit allocation.

## What uses credits

## Plan allocations

| Growth | 2,000 |
| Enterprise | Custom |

Credits reset on your billing cycle date.

## Checking your balance

Your current credit balance is shown in the top bar. It updates after every AI action.

## Bring your own key (BYOK)

On the **Growth** plan and above, you can connect your own OpenAI API key in **Settings > Integrations > AI search**. When BYOK is enabled:

* AI actions use your key instead of harp credits
* No credit deductions for AI-powered features
* You pay OpenAI directly at their rates

> BYOK is not available on the Starter plan.

## Purchasing additional credits

Go to **Settings > Billing** to purchase additional credit packs. Credits are added to your balance immediately and don't expire.
